SMC's line of media converters offers a flexible and affordable solution for quick and efficient media conversion. SMC provides a variety of media converters that can be incorporated into the 19"rack-mount Media Converter Chassis or may be used individually as single stand-alone media converters. The media converter comes with an external power adapter for stand-alone use. PRODUCT FEATURES: Complies with IEEE 802.3ab 1000BaseT and IEEE 802.3z 1000Base-SX; Auto-MDI/MDI-X support for RJ-45 port; Auto-polarity correction for RJ-45 port; Low power consumption; Status LEDs for quick and easy network monitoring; Compatible with other Gigabit 1000Base-T/SX devices; SC fiber interface; External power supply; FCC Class A and CE approved.

- One auto-MDI/MDIX 10Base-T/100Base-TX (RJ-45) to one 100Base-FX converter (SC-type; single-mode)
- Can be inserted into SMC-8MCC Chassis or used as single, standalone media converters
- Complies with IEEE802.3 & IEEE802.3u 10/100TX standard
- Supports Half or Full Duplex auto-negotiation
- Store-and-Forward at full wire-speed
- Supports Half Duplex back pressure or Full Duplex flow control
- 1K unicast addresses
- Supports 1MB RAM buffer
- Compatible with other 10/100TX and 100Base-FX
- Extend distances up to 20km under Full Duplex mode
- Status LEDs for Full Duplex, collision, link, activity for easy monitoring of network configuration
